Congratulations to Sally, Mozart, and Dierks!

The New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association (NJVMA) “Cutest Pet in the Garden State Contest” on Facebook are: Sally, a mini-donkey, Mozart, a 3 year old Australian cattle dog, and Dierks, a 16 month old Airedale. The contest took place on the NJVMA Facebook page, www.facebook.com/njvma, and ran from July 13th through August 12th, , 2011. The winners received the highest number of votes and comments on Facebook. All winners will receive a gift card towards their next veterinary visit plus a supply of Frontline Plus.  

Sally, a 1 1/2 year-old mini-donkey from Edgewater Park, NJ took 1st Place. Sally lives with her owner, Robert Hudgins who brought her to New Jersey from New Holland, PA when she was only 6 months old. “Sally is so special because she has become the sweetest donkey a person could ever ask for. She just absolutely loves people and all other animals,” Hudgins said, who takes Sally to veterinarian, Dr. Jeanette Petite at the Willingboro Veterinary Clinic in Willingboro, NJ.

Mozart, a 3 year-old Australian cattle dog from Edgewater Park, NJ took 2nd Place. Mozart lives with his owner, Kandice Capner who acquired him when he was 3 weeks old. “He absolutely loves people, swimming and being the center of attention,” described Kandice who takes Mozart to veterinarian, Dr. Joseph Filigno at Blackwood Animal Hospital in Blackwood, NJ. She described Dr. Filigno as, “an awesome veterinarian and an awesome friend.”


Dierks
, is 16 months old purebred Airedale from Clifton, NJ. Dierks lives with his owner, Marc Rambaldi who takes Dierks to veterinarian, Dr. David Staubach of Parkview Animal Hospital in Passaic, NJ. "Dierks is a great dog who displays the characteristics of an Airedale and keeps us busy with her antics on a daily basis,” Marc explained.

1st Place Winner will receive a $150 gift certificate towards their next veterinary visit and a 1 year supply of Frontline Plus. 2nd Place Winner will receive a $75 gift certificate towards their next veterinary visit and a 6 month supply of Frontline Plus. 3rd Place Winner will receive a $25 gift certificate towards their next veterinary visit and a 3 month supply of Frontline Plus.

Over 350 submissions were received. The New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association would like to thank all who participated in the contest.

The case was much worse than this last year as long as I remember. God bless them.
