Calvin Moon, VMD, DABVP (1924-2024)
Dr. Calvin Moon, VMD, DABVP, graduated from Rutgers University (BS – Agricultural Research) and the University of Pennsylvania (1952). During WWII (1943-1946), Dr. Moon delayed his studies and bravely served his country as a Petty Officer First Class Radar Operator on the USS Razorback Submarine.
Dr. Moon began his veterinary career at Wood Veterinary Hospital and later founded Hamilton Veterinary Hospital. He also helped establish Columbus Central Veterinary Hospital, where he served as the medical director for 20 years.
As a lifetime resident of New Jersey and former NJVMA President (1970-1971), he was an active member of his community, receiving special awards and actively participating in numerous groups, associations, and societies.
