NJVMA is looking to leverage and enhance its strategic position in three specific areas and is looking for a limited number of members who have interest in helping develop strategies and plans for these areas:
- Branding – This working group will be charged with helping create a greater understanding among veterinarians about what NJVMA does and with creating ideas to engage the NJ veterinary community. NJVMA seeks 5 members to serve on this working group.
- Advocacy – This working group will be charged with supporting NJVMA’s legislative committee and lobbyist to ensure NJVMA accurately represents members’ views on laws and regulations that can affect veterinary medicine in the state. NJVMA seeks 3 members to serve on this working group.
- Continuing Education – This working group will focus mostly on NJVMA’s Veterinary Education Conference, considering all aspects of the event so that it can attract more attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors. This group may also delve into NJVMA’s other CE programs, if time permits. NJVMA seeks 4 members to serve on this working group.
Working groups will meet virtually on a schedule/timeline to be determined. It is estimated that working groups will require approximately 1 hour a month, but there may be projects for each group that require additional time. You must be a member of NJVMA to be considered for a seat on any of these working groups.
If you would like to be considered for a seat on any of these working groups, please email NJVMA Executive Director Phil Russo at info@njvma.org with your letter of interest. Your letter of interest must make note of the group in which you have interest and must clearly explain your reason for interest and the assets/skills you would bring to the group. Deadline for receipt is 5 pm Friday, January 31, 2025.
