Congratulations to Dr. Linda Pedro and Dr. Ryan Keegan who were recently re-elected to their Board positions of Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer, respectively. Both will start their one-year terms on May 16, 2026 at the association’s Annual Business Meeting in Atlantic City, NJ.
NJVMA is also pleased to announce that Dr. Omur Silit, was elected to a three-year term on the Executive Board beginning May 16, 2026. Silit will fill the seat being vacated by Dr. William Pettit who did not run for re-election. NJVMA extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Pettit for his years of service and commitment to the organization and the veterinary profession. His leadership and contributions to the Executive Board have helped strengthen the Association and support the veterinary profession throughout New Jersey.
NJVMA also congratulates Dr. Michael Yurkus, who will assume the role of NJVMA’s Delegate to AVMA, and to Dr. Louis McGuigan on his election to serve as NJVMA’s Alternate Delegate to AVMA. Dr. Yurkus and Dr. McGuigan will begin their service in July, after the AVMA convention in Anaheim.
